Mary Jane is trying to steal money from her roommate Samantha by forging her signature on checks. When Samantha comes home and finds the checks, MJ sneaks up on her, pushes her against a wall and chloroforms her from the front. After a bit of body manipulation, MJ puts a dust mask over Samantha’s face and puts the chloroform-soaked cloth inside the mask, keeping Samantha in a semi-conscious state. She tells Samantha that she is in the hospital. Barely conscious, Samantha believes her and gives her financial information. Left alone, Samantha awakens and staggers away. But MJ grabs her and applies the chloroform. Samantha struggles and falls to the floor, partially awake. MJ reaches down and chloroforms her into unconsciousness. Samantha wakes up bound and gagged and, after a bit of struggling, frees herself. She grabs the cloth, pretends to be tied and, when MJ returns, she chloroforms her.
